Hello. I adopted a kitten about 3 months ago and just fell in love with her. I work all day, though, and realized pretty quickly that she had way more energy than I could keep up with at the end of the day. I adopted another kitten, same age (both 7 months) yesterday. I was really excited because they came from the same foster family and they said they got along great there.
Fast forward 15 hours, and I'm exhausted. The new kitten (Koda) hissed the second she saw Millie (original kitten) and I got her in a separate room like everyone advises you do, but I live in an apartment that only has a bedroom, main room, and bathroom, so they're never very far apart. If I'm with one, the other starts meowing. I feel like I've been hopping between these rooms for hours. They'll go up to the door where the other one is and paw at it, but if I start to open it with the other in sight, Millie (original kitten) hisses. Koda is actually okay now.
Advice? Everything I've read says this is normal, but, geez, I'm tired already.
