This is my first time owning a cat. My family does not want the cat to go upstairs because they fear that he might poop/pee on the bed or shed on it. He already knows how to use the litter box and so far, it seems like he doesn't shed (at least not often). It is a hassle to pick him up and take him downstairs every time. I'm starting to think that letting him upstairs might not be so bad .
