My friend has three small shih tzus about 5-9 years old in age between the three of them. One of them bit his sons finger and was bleeding slightly but it hurt. My friend took it out on the dog and picked him up and threw him hard across the room. The dog was limping (for a few seconds then walked fine, but also yelped on impact).
The finger was fine, no stitches, no peroxide/alcohol etc, just some hot soapy water, neosporin and gauze strips did the trick.
Was what he did to the dog warranted, wrong, or is it acceptable? I feel bad for the dog. He bit his son because he was trapping the dog and the kids were fighting over him playing tug of war with its arms and paws. So the dog was being teased and kids were doing kid things, which couldve maybe hurt or annoyed the dog who acted in self defense or something like that.
Thoughts? Is my friend, or the dog in the wrong, and why?
