Hi! I’m a brand new kitten owner. I’ve been researching a lot about cats for about a year and ended up rescuing a kitten from a bad situation. He’s stolen my heart but I do have a couple of questions regarding his behavior. It may seem stupid so I’m sorry, but I’d love to know any experiences cat owners have or advice.

So we are cuddling and he’s purring. I pet him and he continues to purr. He starts rubbing his mouth on my hand, licks, and then he bites me! Not hard at all, just teeth on me. How can I combat this/is this aggressive behavior? I don’t think it is aggressive! I pull my hand away and he seems to beg for more attention! I’ve read about love bites, but I don’t really know?

He likes to attack me when I am about to go to sleep or just waking up. It’s not bad, no claws out or teeth, just jumping on my head! I play with him a lot and I have tons of toys, is this just hyperactive kitten behavior?

Any other advice for kittens would be fantastic. He’s about 10-11 weeks old and at times I feel like I know what I’m doing, other times I don’t!
Thank you so much in advance, I really appreciate it! I’m trying my best to be the best cat parent I can be. I grew up with dogs and an outdoor adult cat so I really didn’t get the full experience.
