I am just looking for some advice on the off chance this has happened to anyone else.
Today I returned home from work with my child and as we came into the yard we noticed that the plastic covering on our windows (to help with drafts) had been torn apart and was hanging and ripped. I immediately thought of my dog but was not very concerned.
Upon entering the house, my child and I noticed that my dogs nose was all gashed up. I thought she must have panicked and thrashed around the window, tearing the plastic and hurting herself in the process.
I went upstairs to call my boyfriend and let him know when I noticed there was blood all over our bed. Big spots of it everywhere. That it when I noticed that our dog had smashed through the window. When I went outside to confirm, I saw there was blood everywhere — she must have been bleeding in the window for quite some time. There is also evidence that she tried another window and clawed at the downstairs door.
She has never done this before, so we are quite confused and very worried. This week I was at home with her more often than usual and today was her first day alone in 3 days. I am worried that it could be because maybe someone was sneaking/snooping around our yard as well.
