My 16yo cat grew up with dogs and lots of people around. Now, it’s just me and I fear he is lonely and bored stuck home alone all day. I think that because he is glued to my side on weekends... Short of finding another person to come and hang out with him, wondering if there are any suitable cat companions? I would love to get a dog, but don’t have the time to commit to one. He has never been around other cats so I’m not sure if I want to add that stress, but I fear that may be my only option. If I do get another cat, I would want a shelter cat - one probably that wouldn’t have a home otherwise. He is pretty healthy, but I do notice signs of age - sight issues and onset of kidney problems. Music and bird videos only go so far. Thoughts?
