Hi Pet lovers!
A bit of a background our cat is is roughly 4-5 years old we are not 100% sure as she used to be a stray cat. She is completely healthy eats very well, plays, uses the litter box and is generally very happy. We moved to Amsterdam from Dubai in May and she has adjusted very well to the new environment.
About a week ago her yearly vaccination was up and we went to the Vet the first time in Amsterdam. The Vet did a check up and mentioned that her teeth are not looking very good and that they would most likely need to extract two of them. This would need to be done under full anesthesia.
We find it a bit surprising that without any symptoms or that she shows any pain they would want to remove her teeth. We have also done some research and it is very early to take out teeth from cat that young.
Is this normal? Has anyone else had a similar experience? Or do they just want to make money out of us?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
