My cat just had PU surgery and is now over 17 days in recovery. He has been doing so well, got his sutures out at the 10 day mark and the vet told us that it was ok to take his collar off after a couple days. When we took his collar off and let him groom the area it immediately started bleeding. We called the vet again to ask why this is happening and was just told to put the collar back on for a few more days and clean the area. Fast forward a few more days and I decided to see if it had healed up...nope. I can't find anyone else on forums who have had this issue after PU. We are going to the vet tomorrow to get it checked out, but it feels like this vet is trying to find every excuse to make money off us. Frustrated and worried that the surgery wasn't done properly or the vet purposely told us to leave the collar off too early....
