Hi! I have two cats both male ages 4 and 8. They mostly eat dry food but I give them canned food on Sundays as a treat. The older guy is a bit chunky and this method has helped him keep extra weight off.
I recently found a box of canned food on a high shelf in my pantry. There are 20 cans of Purina Beyond canned food and the cans say "best if used by October 2020". When I Googled expiration dates for cat food, some folks said "best by date" was not the same as expiration date.
I have lost my job due to Covid, so we are on a LIMITED budget but I don't want my babies to have upset tummies, either. Should these cans be tossed or can I feed them to my boys?
