Moving across the country with a new Skinny Pig

Hi! I'm going to be a first-time guinea pig owner very soon, for a hairless guinea pig named Winston. I'm adopting him from a family friend since he wasn't given enough attention. I'm delighted to have him and I've been doing plenty of research. However, within the next month or two my family will be moving across the entirety of Canada by car. It'll be about a week of travelling. He can't be flown and my parents have said that he'll be with us while we drive across the country. I'm just really worried about him! I don't know how to minimize his stress, first with getting used to a new home, then suddenly being driven for a week, then having to get used to another home. I want him to be as comfortable as possible. Does anyone have any advice for me? Thank you.
