Our dog cant walk unless he gets a monthly shot, his colon is fucked up, he basically has dog dementia, he paces in a circle all day, he starts screaming erratically because he doesnt know the difference between peeing and other things, he’s going blind, he’s half deaf, this dog is not there anymore. I love him, he was a great pal to have for years but he is simply not there and I dont think these vet visits are worth it anymore, He’s old and his body is clearly giving out. Morally speaking I dont want this dog to get to a point of living only in pain or a vegetable succumb to medicine to stay alive. My mom has thought about euthanizing him but she’s never been in a position of doing so and loves animals so I can see why shes hesitating but he isnt even letting her sleep anymore. His constant screaming through out the night just to go outside or pacing because he cant stop is destroying her sleep and if we put him in a different room he starts screaming more and louder. How can i convince her to do this??
