My male cat is 2.5 years old and recently has started pooping next to the litter box half the time. I have 2 boxes, and clean them regularly. Sometimes he'll poop outside the box the same day I cleaned it. Luckily this has not been an issue with him peeing, but does anyone have any ideas of why this may have just started happening?
I have had him since he was a kitten, and have had the same litter boxes and same type of litter the entire time.
