I just finished moving into my new apartment today and my cat is the last to come over from the old place. I have tons of old furniture that smells like the old place, including her litter box and the litter brand. We went from living with my ex and his dog and cat to just me and her. I already know she's confused and stressed, as am I at 4AM... I'm looking for solutions I can do either immediately without leaving home or tomorrow, since there's no way I'm sleeping tonight. :)
The new place is 2 stories, and while my bed is upstairs she doesn't seem to spend a lot of time there and will keep going back downstairs to meow. She's not afraid of the upstairs realm, she was making bread on my tummy at one point but it didn't last long. I'm now downstairs watching movies and even now she's been wandering around me, meowing and purring. It's like she wants attention but it's not the permanent solution. She has her food and water available. I've heard about something called Feliway, what is it, will it help my situation, and where can I get it? Getting rid of her or sending her back to the old place is not an option, we're in this together. She's my baby, as infuriating as she is right now, and I want her to feel better about it all.
